From browsing
to a quote request

We built this one on spec. A full redesign of a real material handling integrator, so you see what a rebuild looks like before you commission one.

The problem

Material handling is a considered purchase. An operations manager arrives knowing the problem, not the product name for the fix: pallets stacked in an aisle, a pick line that can't keep up, a lease ending in a warehouse that no longer fits.

Racking, automation, equipment, service and parts are 5 different conversations. A site that lists them as 5 menu items leaves the buyer to work out which one they are in, and most of them leave instead of guessing.

What we built

  • A homepage that leads with the problem being solved, not the catalog
  • A page per capability: racking, automation, new and used equipment, service and parts
  • One consistent way to ask for a quote, on every page, with the context already filled in
  • Original photography and motion instead of stock, so it looks like the operation it sells to
  • Fast, mobile first, and built to be read on a warehouse floor

What we'd add next

The site is the front door. 2 things belong behind it, and either one ships with the build or comes later.

Quote requests that route themselves. The request reaches the rep who covers that capability with the details attached, and the buyer gets a real answer in minutes rather than a form receipt.

Follow-up that keeps quiet quotes moving. Considered purchases go quiet for weeks. Something has to check back without anyone remembering to.
